The Beginning
Hey guys,
My friend (Lea) and I (Jana) decided to create an internet blog about integration, because it's an important topic in our modern society.
We specialized about integration by sports to find out if it's possible to make people with different origins feel as a homogeneous whole.
For those who don't know the exact meaning of integration, we founded it out for you:
Integration is the process of melting people from different origins/ages/Skin colours ect. together, make them become part of a group and feel accepted. Above all we want to take a look on the integration of people with a migration background and even foreigners, because it's part of our actual school project.
Both of us think, that integration due sports is very effective, because team sport enables people to get a sense of belonging to the team, so without any integration team spirit isn't possible.
To verify (or refute) our thoughts we want to visit different sports teams with people from different races or even refugees and interview group leaders, trainers and possibly outside people.
So follow our entrys or leave a comment with your own opinion down below, we would like to know what you think about integration by sports or if you had experiences with this topic.
Thank you guys :)

You are right! Integration is a very important topic to talk about regarding the current situation in europe. I really like the fact that you are considering sports as a form of integration.
I myself played american football and soccer in the past few years. Communication is the key to success, not always through talking to each other, but through trust and the knowledge, that your team partner always has your back because you are both living out your passion!

Nowadays, it's important that we clarify the whole society about integration. Nobody have to be afraid about refugees or migrants. They are just people like me and you. It's important that we abolish prejudices about people with different ethnic background.
Maybe our blog can help to set off a change. :)

Sport is the key for a tolerant world
Yeah, that's true.
Nowadays we've lots of problem with different cultures and religions. There so many wars in our world today...
Tolerance and acceptance is rare, but that's what the world today really need.
Sport is good way to achieve these properties.
Peoples from another countries have different cultures and
Mindsets, but with Sport they get together. Peoples get the same goal, mindset and have something in common.

Integration due sport? A good idea!
Hi Jana.
I really like your idea, making a blog that deals with the issue of Integration. As you said: Integration became an increasing popular topic in today´s society.
I agree with your point that sport and its resulting team spirit makes, when it happens, a homogenous whole. In a team, e.g. a football team, it doesn´t matter, what your skin colour is or from which cultural and ethnic background you descend. I can state this from myself, as I already played in multicultural football teams. When playing football, everybody is the same, everybody believes in the same - there are no differences, people are team members. But I also have to doubt your idea. Sport is not everything. Out of the matchfield, people have
to be members in sociological terms too. Translating the idea of team members between different ethnic groups into society, will make Intergration work. So let´s work on that too. Nevertheless, doing sport to support Integration is a fine beginning as we can see in many sport projects in Osnabrück!
Best regards and much sucess!
Julian
